Apple Picking

The rain held off and we had a great day for apple picking!  We went on a hay ride, picked yummy apples, and picked a pumpkin.  After lunch we fed the goats and played on the hay maze. It was nice to see so many happy faces!

Our Week 9/21

Thanks to all the parents that visited the school Tuesday night. It was great to get a chance to talk. The children were very happy you got to see their hard work.

We learned all about Johnny Appleseed and his good deeds. We talked a little about tall tales.

The class went to the library on Friday and met Miss Amanda, the children's librarian from the public library. If your child doesn't have a library card, Mr. Levin will send home applications to receive one.

We are working very hard to write our letters. So far we have done t, b, f, m and n. We encourage a little practice at home.

Mrs. Logan, our guidance councilor, came to teach us Life Skills.  The first skill we learned this week is - if someone says your name, we stop what we're doing, look at the person and answer "yes." We will use this skill a lot!

Our First Day of School

We were all very excited to start the new school year. The day went well, even though it was very hot. Here are some pictures of calendar time and some work with rectangles.
