Happenings

The end of the year is coming fast and we have been very busy.

The Science Center sent us a class pet, Turbo the rabbit.  The children have loved having her in the room. Thanks to all that sent in treats for her to eat.

We have been studying the life cycle of a frog. We made frog puppets to act out "Five Green and Speckled Frogs."

The Science Center visited us with their magnet show.  This is always a favorite and the class learned many magnet facts.

We have started a unit on Community Helpers.  Emma's dad is a fireman and he visited our classroom.  He explained his job and taught us a lot about fire safety.  Mr. Fricke told us about each part of his equipment and how it works.  He then let some of the kids try on the equipment!  The class was very excited and wrote a nice thank you note to Mr. Fricke.
