Boston and Farewell

I don't know where the time has gone but the end of the year is here.  I want to share our last pictures which are from our Boston trip.

It has been a pleasure working with your children this year.  I congratulate you for the wonderful job you have done with them and wish them the best in the future.  For those of you that don't know, I am retiring this year.  I couldn't of asked for a more memorable and wonderful class to be my last.  Have a safe and restful summer!
My best, Gail

Magnets

Mr. Musselman, from the Science Center visited us today.  His show was all about magnets.  The kids learned about north and south poles, magnetic fields, and electromagnets. Mr. Musselman was very impressed to see the student's enthusiasm and prior knowledge.

Catching Up!

Sorry I have not posted in a while, I have some catching up to do!  First I want to mention how wonderful it was to see so many people at our museum.  The children worked so hard and were very proud.

We had a BMX Bike show that  had an Anti-bullying theme.  We saw some very exciting tricks that the kids loved.

We have box turtles visiting from the science center.  Their names are Mia and Dorito.  The kids are thrilled to watch them and hold them too!

The 5th grade performed a wonderful Pirate Show on Friday. They did such a great job it kept us on the edge of our seats!

Electricity Show

Friday the Science Center brought us an Electricity Show.  We learned about current and static electricity, and they showed us the difference.  We found out about conductors and insulators.  It was a good start for kindergartners to build on for future lessons.

Dr. Seuss

We celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday on March 2.  Mr. Sheehan came to visit and did a reader's theater with the class.  Every child had their own part from the book "Green Eggs and Ham."  It was a wonderful performance!
